1- Elbow kiss

This involves spreading out your arms on either side at the level of your shoulders, palms facing up. Then fold each arm at the elbow to make a ninety degrees angle upwards.

Swing the hands while folded to the front so that they close in at the elbow with forearms touching on the sides. Lastly, return the arms to their initial position. Do sets of three, each 10 repetitions.

2- Push and touch

Involves lifting your stretched arms overhead from the resting position on the sides of your body. If you have hand weights you can use them or even a band. Standing with your stretched arms on the sides, palms facing forward, lift them to the shoulder level simultaneously than over your head. Lastly, bring the arms back in position. Do 3 sets of about 6 repetitions each.

3- Crisscross reverse fly

Put your legs apart about the width of your shoulders, slightly bend at the knees for stability and then bend forward at the waist, no more than 90 degrees, so that your head faces down. Hold the hand weight or dumbbell on each hand bent at the elbow and while palms face towards each other. Then raise your hands to the level of or slightly lower than your shoulders. Do three sets each 10 times.

4- Bent-over circular row

With your legs apart shoulder-width, bend forward (ninety degrees) and using each hand at a time, move the dumbbell towards the opposite hand, lift it up, then move it towards the chest and the back to the extended position in a circular motion. Do three sets of 10 repetitions each.

  2. The last 2 have me stumped. I'm more of a visual person and I really wish I knew the correct form to do them!
On another note, I've been walking on my reebok stepper every day for 2 months and my legs have gotten so skinny. I do 4,000-12,000 steps a day depending on how I feel and now that I am wearing shorts I don't recognize myself. Stepping is the key to slim legs!

The first exercise is really pretty self-explanatory, so I didn't bother to look up a video for that one. The links I'm providing for you aren't active and you do have to copy and paste them into your browser. I hope this helps all of you who were just as confused as I was by the directions, lol.

  24. I am stunned at the number of people who cannot figure this out even without pictures. Ladies, if you're too lazy to make an effort to figure it out or look on YouTube or copy & paste the links provided from other commenters, you are not going to do these exercises anyway. [Shaking my head.]

    3. LOL Accusing someone of being rude then calling someone a name. Who is the rude one here?? Name calling doesn't exactly scream "Happy Gal", but more like "Unhappy Gal".

I doubt very much the OP was insinuating "all" are lazy.

  27. It's very rude to keep badgering someone to go to the extra steps and trouble to take and post pictures for you. If you've ever made a tutorial, you know it takes a good bit of time and work. If it doesn't work for you, it's not like you paid for this. No one owes you anything so just say thank you and move on to find what you're looking for. I agree it's a little hard to follow some of it but, as others have kindly shared, you can find more detailed instructions with fairly minimal effort.

  31. I imagine that posting tutorials would be challenging, so I'd like to say "Thank You for posting this". The exercises seem like they could be very helpful; however, I too am confused about #3 and #4. Being the clutz that I am, I can totally see myself being knocked out by an errant dumbbell. I'm completely capable of looking it up elsewhere which I most likely will do. I'm a visual learner, so I find pictures to be an invaluable resource. It sounds like that's the case for many other people here are as well. Constructive criticism is necessary in order to become better at what we're doing (regardless of what it is). The only nonconstructive criticism I noticed was directed toward the people who requested extra help to understand the tutorial. Not every one is familiar with these exercises. It's obvious that your readers are interested in your ideas and tutorials, and they genuinely want you to be successful...just look at how many people have responded to this post.

  37. Am I the only one who noticed that while all these exercises are helpful to many sizes of people, the author was also insulting? Seriously, who adds "Stop winning on how ugly and uncomfortable you are"? You're the ugly one, you could add something nicer to encourage people, not tear them down.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I have to agree with Curious on her point. Granted it could have been said a bit differently as to not offend some people but geez people...be thankful for what you were given and not ungrateful for what you were not given. If somebody is helping you, they should not have to put forth more effort than you are willing to do yourself. Be glad for what you have and if you don't understand what was provided then go out and find the answers you need. Obviously you have Internet access so use it to your benefit.
